11. Jesus said, "This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will
pass away.
The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. During the days when
you ate what is dead, you made it come alive. When you are in the light,
what will you do? On the day when you were one, you became two. But when
you become two, what will you do?"

Hmmm - note that DU only quotes "The dead are not alive, and the living
will not die."
1) "Heaven" in the Course sense will obviously not pass away, so that
can't be meant here. So either it is a corruption and we dismiss it or we
take a stab at it...
I would suspect it means that this world will pass away, and the one above
it will pass away. Therefore it would point out the transient nature of
the world...
2) "The dead are not alive, and the living will not die." The "dead"
clearly are we who chose the ego, crucifixion, the belief system of death,
and as long as we adhere to it, we are not alive indeed. Next, in the same
vein as "there is no life outside of heaven," if we chose the
resurrection, and we are alive, we live eternally as spirit.
3) "During the days when you ate what is dead, you made it come alive."
Again, perhaps a corruption or... who knows?
4) "When you are in the light, what will you do?" At the very least this
seems to point out that the thought system of the Holy Spirit is a bit
different from our ego system, and this statement seems to point in that
direction.
5) "On the day when you were one, you became two."
This statement seems to be a cute summarization of the tiny mad idea,
making it very clear that it's something we chose. Very Course-alike
indeed.
6) "But when you become two, what will you do?" Back to the earlier
allusion to the Holy Spirit's thought system, implying strongly that while
we find ourselves here in the world, we do have another option, it's up to
us to take it...
