P/GoTh
quote J said, "How miserable is the body that depends on a body, and how miserable is the soul that depends on these two." unquote
form: The usual J for Jesus, and no other changes.
content: This statement would seem to be an early form of Jesus' teaching on special relationships versus the Holy Relationship, and on communication. Namely bodies cannot communicate, as anyone knows - physical closeness is no guarantee of anything, despite all the illusions that the ego entertains in this area. Deception and depression is the inevitable result. Real joining is only in joining with Jesus, through seeing the face of Christ in our brothers, and that has nought to do with depending on the body. Seen in that light the attraction between bodies is purely a distraction.
