P/GoTh:
quote Grapes are not harvested from thorn trees, nor are figs gathered from thistles. unquote
Form: Oh what a relief it is to have Pursah around to decisively rid us of the editorial extensions to this statement. They were troublesome to say the least, and this decisive edit was helpful indeed.
Content: Which leaves us now to reflect on the original statement. The way it strikes me immediately is that it's a warning along the lines we very much know from the Course that the choice is between love and fear, and that the ego can never bear fruit. There is no hope in waiting till it gets better, the only course of action is not to choose the ego, but to choose the Holy Spirit's thought system of Love instead, and that's where the fruit are.
