P/GoTh:
quote J said, "Come to me, for my yoke is comfortable and my lordship is gentle, and you will find rest for yourselves." unquote
Form: J for Jesus, and his "comfortable" as an adjective describing his "yoke," rather than easy, as well as "lordship" in lieu of "mastery," which seems to reinforce respect for Jesus which according to the Course an elder brother is entitled to.
Content: A variety of Course teachings come to mind, such as Salvation without sacrifice, for the ego sees Jesus' total authority as a threat, and projects that he will be a harsh taskmaster, and we shold stay out of his way. One is reminded here of Helen Schucman's designations of him as Top Sergeant at times. The point here is that his authority is based on love, unlike the ego's notion of authority, which is always based on usurping a false authority, and therefore needs to be heavily defended.
